New Features:

  • Added a Multiple Price Options Add-to-Cart Form Generator Utility that supports both Mal's and Paypal Shopping Carts.
  • Updated the Additional Code Feature - Allows the user to add a custom <body> tag and also additional code before the </head> end tag on all three framed pages (top.html, left.html, and bottom.html).
  • New file assets were added to the site themes.

(1) Multiple Price Options Add-to-Cart Form Generator Utility

Supports both Mal's and Paypal Shopping Carts.

Description
Use the utility on the Add-to-Cart worksheet to create custom Multiple Price Option Add-to-Cart HTML forms as a replacement to the automatically generated XLEcom Add-to-Cart code. This is not required but provided for advanced users who need to provide their customers with multiple prices for different options.

For your Information: If you are a Paypal user, you can still use Mal's e-commerce shopping cart. Mal's cart can port all final shopping cart transactions to Paypal if desired.

Supports

  • Both in-page and popup window type shopping carts.
  • Use up to three (3) drop-down option scroll boxes with each scroll box supporting up to 5 selections.
  • Use any International Currency Symbol.

Experiment with the sample data before entering your own data.

How it works
Simply enter your prices and options data into a table and press a button to generate the Multiple Price Options Add-to-Cart HTML form code. Press another button to automatically integrate the code into your Product Ads. See an example of the Multiple Price Options Add-to-Cart HTML form code below.

    For Mal's e-commerce Shopping Cart (Type: Popup window)

     

    Instructions:

      [1] First fill out the Item Name / Price Option Set table below with your Shopping Cart data options.

      [2] Select an Item Name / Price Option Set from the drop-down scroll box. Selecting an item will retrieve the selected item data from the Item Name / Price Option Set table and create a temporary Add-to-Cart HTML form.

      [3] Select a Product Ad from the drop-down scroll box. Making a selection will retrieve the selected Product Ad from the Database and place it into the Design form on the Product Design sheet. In this step, the newly created Add-to-Cart form code is not yet transferred back to either the Design form or the Database sheet but is displayed in the large preview cell. Refer to step [6] to transfer the Add-to-Cart form code back to the Database sheet.

      [4] To preview both the pure Add-to-Cart form code and the HTML aligned Add-to-Cart form code used for the Product Ad in your web browser, press the Preview Add-to-Cart Form button.

      [5] To preview the new Product Ad. press the Preview HTML Product Ad button. This will transfer the Add-to-Cart form code to the Design Form on the Product Design sheet and display the results in your web browser. If you are not satisfied with the results, you can always press the Refresh button on the Product Design sheet to re-retrieve the original data from the Database.

      [6] To transfer the new Add-to-Cart form code back into the Database's Custom Add-to-Cart Form field for the selected Product Ad, press the Transfer Form to Database button.

    If you prefer to manually add the Add-to-Cart form code to the Custom Add-to-Cart Form field in the Database, then refer to the instructions presented in the HTML preview page. To have these instructions displayed on the HTML preview page, check the Display Manual Instructions check box.

    Home Page Special Product Ads
    If you place a Product Ad that contain a custom Add-to-Cart form onto the home page as a Home Page Special, then both the Add-to-Cart form and button on this page will be replaced with a text hyperlink such as "More Information". Clicking on the text hyperlink will take the customer to the specific product page that contains the ad where they can then purchase the product.

    Cell Color Conventions
    Red colored font values are user data cells. Edit these values only. The values in Magenta are created on the fly by the program. The values in Blue contain non-editable formulas.

    Upgrading from Version 3.9 thru 3.93 to Version 4.0
    All the key data form version 3.9x such as the Product Database, Categories, Site Themes, Support Pages, and FTP Account settings can be imported into the new version 4.0 via the Import utility. First export the data from the older 3.9x version using the Export utility and then import the data into the new 4.0 version using the Import utility. The Import / Export utilities can be accessed via the Product Design sheet.

    Note: the last Database field in version 4.0 has been changed from "Notes" to "Custom Add-to-Cart Form". This Database field will now be used to store your Multiple Option Add-to-Cart forms.

    Upgrading from Versions 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, or 3.8 to Version 4.0
