Questions about using Mal's cart

I have a few questions about using Mal's cart as a shopping cart option.

1) You promote Mal's free cart, I want to use the premium cart to utilize PayPal Webpayments Pro. That isn't a problem, is it?

2) In the demo cart, there is not a continue shopping button. That is not a problem if I use frames, but if I don't want to use frames, or the pop up cart, I see that as an issue. Is that only a demo cart problem?

Thanks,

MArk

Question 1:
You promote Mal's free cart, I want to use the premium cart to utilize PayPal Webpayments Pro. That isn't a problem, is it?

Answer 1:
What you are referring to is called "PayPal Website Payments Pro" which requires both a merchant account and gateway. This is similar to the traditional ecommerce method used by many online stores. This method does require you to pay monthly fees to maintain both a merchant account and gateway. This Website Payments Pro option is offered by PayPal as a competitive alternative to other online transaction companies such as authorize.net.

You can use PayPal Website Payments Pro right now with XLEcom by using the Mal's ecommerce shopping cart option. All you have to do is setup your Mal's account, at Mal's website, to utilize the PayPal Website Payments Pro feature. Keep in mind that the PayPal Website Payments Pro feature is for the USA only.

Question 2:
In the demo cart, there is not a continue shopping button. That is not a problem if I use frames, but if I don't want to use frames, or the pop up cart, I see that as an issue. Is that only a demo cart problem?

Answer 2:
To have a "Continue Shopping " button appear within the Customer's Shopping Cart, you must activate the "return" URL feature in the Mal's Shopping Cart setup within the XLEcom program.

This feature is useful if you are not using either a framed website or popup window shopping cart.

To do this, switch to the "Product Design" sheet and press the "Setup" button. Next, select the "Select an Ecommerce Shopping Cart Service" dialog box tab option. Choose the "Setup" option for the Mal's e-commerce Service and check the "return" URL check box. This feature is shown in the image below.
