Version 3.7 (3.7.416) released on November 14, 2005

New Features:

  • Added the ability to change both the preview and published HTML page's file extension. The default file extension is .html.
  • Added a Data Export Function to the Publishing Routine. This utility will export all of your HTML Product Ads and or Add-to-Cart Buttons to a single HTML or Excel (.xls) file. These files can be useful for later importing into another application.

Preview and published HTML page's file extension
Added the ability to change both the preview and published HTML page's file extension. The default file extension is .html. You access this feature via the Setup function on the Product Design sheet.

Additional Publish Options - Data Export
This utility will export all of your HTML Product Ads and or Add-to-Cart Buttons to a single HTML or Excel (.xls) file. These files can be useful for later importing into another application.

    Sample HTML File Exports:
    Sample 1: Condensed Product Ads - No Item Descriptions - View Sample File (531 KB)
    Sample 2: Full Product Ads - Includes Item Descriptions - View Sample File (617 KB)

You access this feature via the Publish Web Site function.

This Export option will only function if you choose either the "Publish the Entire Web Site" or "Only the Ad Product pages (page_xxx.html)" options in the Publish Dialog box.

Please be aware of the following conditions
This utility will only export the Product Ad data and not any of the JavaScript support code. Depending on how you setup your Ads, the JavaScript code may be required for the Add-to-Cart bottoms and Ad Comment Hyperlinks to function properly. This JavaScript code can be manually extracted from the <head> section of any published Product Ad page.

Below are the conditions that utilize the JavaScript support code:

  • HTML Product Ads using the form format - Required only for the Ad Comment Hyperlinks.
  • HTML Product Ads using the hyperlink format - Required for both the Add-to-Cart bottoms and Ad Comment Hyperlinks
  • Add-to-Cart Buttons using the form format - Not Required
  • Add-to-Cart Buttons using the hyperlink format - Required

File Save Locations
The HTML file will be saved to the Publish\html folder and the Excel xls file will be saved to the currently active local directory folder.

Upgrading from Version 3.6 to Version 3.7
All the key data form version 3.6 such as the Product Database, Categories, Site Themes, Support Pages, and FTP Account settings can be imported into the new version 3.7 via the Import utility. First export the data from the older 3.6 version using the Export utility and then import the data into the new 3.7 version using the Import utility. The Import / Export utilities can be accessed via the Product Design sheet.
